Cleaning Maintenance
We recommend that you clean your radiator with a slightly damp cloth. Using substances such as detergent, bleach, brightener and harsh chemicals can cause the surface of the product to rust. Do not empty the water inside the product unless you have to. Even if it is not applied directly to the radiator, bleach, salt spirit, paint remover etc. used for cleaning in the same environment. The vapor of acidic chemicals containing chlorine may damage the product and cause corrosion.
There could be many reasons for this situation. Among the most common causes is the accumulation of air in the radiator or towel warmer. To evacuate the accumulated air, the air vent plug should be loosened with the help of a screwdriver. When water starts to come out of the purge hole, the vent plug should be retightened with a screwdriver. Considering that dirty water may come in during this time, necessary precautions should be taken for items that may be contaminated around. Another reason for this situation may be accumulated mud or dirt in the installation. For this, plumbing maintenance should be done.
Decreased water in the radiator may cause corrosion of the product. For this reason, we recommend that it would be emptied for a very short time. If it is necessary to empty, after refilling, loosen the air vent on the radiator with a screwdriver and discharge the air inside until water comes out. Considering that dirty water may come in during this time, necessary precautions should be taken for items that may be contaminated around.
Do not empty the water inside your radiators during the summer months, when they will not be used for a long time, or during the renovation and maintenance of the installation. In this case, close the inlet and outlet valves so that the water does not drain. Leaving your radiator empty for a long time can cause corrosion.
Plumbing maintenance is a job that requires precision. Hammam Design Radiator does not provide technical service oversees.
In order for the product to be used without any problems for many years, your pipework, and the water content in the system must meet certain conditions.
The main reason for corrosion in the pipe systems is the content of the water circulating in the system. pH level, hardness, chloride, sulfate, iron, silica, conductivity properties are the criteria that determine whether water is corrosive or not. In order to prevent the malfunction of the products, the water in the system must be treated. Unless the installation is cleaned and conditioned with an inhibitor, malfunctions will occur depending on the piping and water quality. Before installing the radiator, heating system should be properly flushed and filled in order to remove debris, sludge and clean solid particles and chemical residues, which may cause corrosion and damage the system.
When connecting pipes of various materials, their difference in electrode potential may cause galvanic
corrosion and serious damage of pipes, valves and other equipment in the system. To avoid galvanic corrosion, it
is highly recommended to use the same materials, or materials with similar electric potential, throughout loop.
Artificially softened water shall not be used in the system.
Water from a thermal source should not be used directly in the heating system as heat transfer fluid.
Many water conditioning materials contain chlorinated hydrocarbons. The use of chlorinated hydrocarbons
may harm to your radiator.
Otherwise, it is possible that you will encounter malfunctions and problems in your products and installation system due to faults in the installation and installation. If the products are damaged due to faults caused by the type of pipework or water content in the system, the warranty will be void as the warranty conditions are not met.
In case of not using cleaning or corrosion inhibitor in the system, the damages that may occur may not be repaired even if the necessary chemicals are used later, in this case the responsibility belongs to the customer.
It is recommended to clean multimetal (stainless, aluminum, carbon steel) products with Sentinel X400 Cleaner for installations older than 6 months, with Sentinel X300 Cleaner for newly installed systems, and to protect the system with Sentinel X100 corrosion inhibitor, so that the products will be protected against corrosion.
